2011 MISTER & MISS PHOENIX GAY PRIDE

Miss Olivia Gardens

Olivia Gardens is thrilled to represent The Rock this year. She is a cast member of the popular shows "Snatch" and "Genderfuct," and is an advocate for performing arts in the community. She holds a BA in Theater History and Rhetorical theory. Olivia would like to thank The Rock, AZ Gender Outlaws, Kevin Clopton, Pandora, and Savannah Stevens for their support and guidance.

Mister Freddy Prinze Charming

Freddy Prinze Charming emerged on the drag scene back in 2006 in Tucson, AZ. Since then he has performed all over the country, including Oklahoma, California, New Mexico and, of course, Arizona. Since 2009 he has won numerous titles and accolades, was the first king west of Texas to win a crown in a nationally recognized pageant and he was a columnist for Dragtastic.com. Over the years, Freddy has performed in dozens of venues, and has helped raise thousands of dollars for various charities and organizations. As a performer this king is as comfortable eating fire and walking on stilts as he is singing live and dancing. Some of the titles Freddy holds are Mister Arizona USofA MI Emeritus, Mr. Charlies 2010 and Mr. Cash Inn Country 2011.

The Mister and Miss Phoenix Gay Pride Competition is a community event supported by local community bars and numerous female and male illusionists. As the recipient of the title Mister or Miss Phoenix Gay Pride, the winners will become the faces of Phoenix Pride during their reign. It is the duty of the title holders to promote pride in our community, state and country; portraying role model qualities with integrity, dignity and respect at all times. Upon winning the Bar Title Preliminary, the contestants will be responsible for planning, marketing and executing one fundraiser that must be held within eight weeks of winning the Bar Title Preliminary. These professional performers are recognized for their fundraising efforts throughout the entire year with combined total of close to $100,000 for local Phoenix charities.
