Lora Jacobson originally from New York has been an Arizona resident for the past 13 years. She spent two years living at the Grand Canyon and 5 years in Flagstaff. She has worked in government and in healthcare and has extensive experience in customer service and in support roles. She is currently pursuing her degree in Human Resources.

Over the past 25 years, Lora has volunteered with numerous and diverse organizations. From answering phones for her first Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon in 1984 to her most recent volunteering experience with Phoenix Pride. Her desire to help others takes on many forms. She has a passion for event planning and has planned many events here in the Phoenix area, including golf tournaments and wine & food tasting fundraisers. She currently volunteers and donates her horse for Angel Acres, providing underprivileged children and children with disabilities the opportunity to ride horses. Lora has also served on the Executive Committee for the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley for the past 6 years, as well as the United Way.

Lora currently chairs the Standing Rules Task Force 2009-2010.
