Detective Tambra Williams

Detective Tambra Williams has honorably served the Phoenix Police Department for the past 19 years. Best recognized for her work as the police department’s LGBT Community Liason, Tambra proudly served the LGBT community for almost 10 years through Bias Crimes and Community Relations.
Tambra has recently been honored by several organizations for her dedicated work within the Phoenix LGBT community: ECHO Magazine’s 2009 Gay History Pioneer Hall of Fame, ECHO Magazine’s 2009 Woman of the Year, 2010 Phoenix Pride Parade Grand Marshal, Soul Purpose AZ, Gay, Black and Present Ally Award Recipient, Keynote Speaker invitation from Equality Maricopa, MCCCD’s LGBTQA employee group’s 4th Annual End of Year Celebration in May and most recently Tambra learned she will be honored at the 2010 Equality Arizona Awards Dinner in June.
Tambra spends her spare time volunteering for numerous LGBT non-profit organizations including Phoenix Pride, SW Center for HIV/AIDS and Aunt Rita’s Foundation by holding various board and committee positions. Tambra has dedicated her life to ensuring the safety of the Phoenix LGBT community and continues to do so today.

Micheal Weakley

Micheal Weakley is the Director of Programs at 1n10 and the Youth Empowerment project working with LGBTQ Youth. Micheal serves as the Director of OUTdoors, Arizona’s very own Gay camp in Prescott Arizona, and cofounder of Rebel YELL: Arts Music and Activism festival.
Micheal is also a manager for the YEP! house which is an HIV prevention program designed for young gay men. Micheal is an outspoken advocate for human rights, specifically working to improve the lives of LGBTQ youth.
Micheal has been featured twice on the cover of Echo magazine for his work with LGBTQ youth and this summer was also featured along with 1n10 Volunteers on the cover of IONAZ magazine. Micheal was named ECHO Magazine’s 2009 Man of the Year!
Micheal is currently spearheading a political campaign to elect Jim Munoz to House of Representatives in District 16th in Phoenix.
